Manchester Metropolitan University to Host Tourism Management Institute Convention

Manchester Metropolitan University will be hosting this year’s Tourism Management Institute (TMI) annual convention at the Business School from Monday 30 to Tuesday 31 October 2017.

As one of the UK’s largest providers of education in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising and Branding, Public Relations, Retail Management, Place Management and Tourism Management, Manchester Met has worked closely with TMI to support the development of the event content and student experience.

The convention will provide an opportunity for exchange among academics and stakeholders in destination management across the UK, sharing experiences in place making and exploring how destinations need to design their visitor offers around authentic and distinctive qualities and experiences. The convention will also be highlighting the most topical issues in destination management practice and national policy.

With a stunning glass atria and a range of flexible seminar spaces, the Business School will provide space for the keynote sessions, workshops and networking opportunities. The convention will bring together a community of academic leaders and professionals to deliver the keynote sessions, including Dr Steven Rhoden, Head of Department for Marketing, Retail and Tourism in the Faculty of Business and Law at Manchester Metropolitan and Deirdre Wells OBE, Tourism Alliance and UK Inbound.
