The Jurassic Park jeep, an inflatable dome, arcade games, dinosaurs, e.sports and cosplay?
All this can only mean one thing: On Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th August we are delighted to be welcoming back GSCON to the University, for their 3rd annual conference.
The Gamer Streamer Convention (GSCon) attracts over 300 people to the University, and is organised by Matt Bowen of GamerStudio, an organisation with charitable links, which supports mental health and champions inclusivity through gaming and streaming.
The event will have multiple exhibitors, table top games, arcade and virtual reality games for attendees to take part in. There will be a main plenary session led by a popular YouTuber, and other talks throughout the day.
If you are interested in gaming, streaming, online communities and mental health issues then it is definitely an event you should attend.
This is the second year Manchester Met Business School has hosted the event which is close to the heart of the Manchester Met Conference Team due to its relationship with mental health, community, and getting people out of their comfort zones to talk together in a safe space.
Matt recently came into the University to talk to James about why they do what they do, and why the Business School is the perfect venue for them, watch online here
Tickets are still available for the event, which you can register for here: https://www.gscon.online/
