With only one week before international and UK delegates arrive in Manchester for the International Biodeterioration & Biodegradation Society’s 17th Triennial Symposium, the Conference and Events team are preparing to welcome the delegates to Manchester Met’s impressive Business School as another successful summer season of events draws to a close.
The three-day event programme will provide opportunities for delegates to explore the city, with Manchester centre close by. The symposium kick offs with a pre-conference drinks reception in the Business School on Tuesday 5th September.
This year’s conference theme ‘Preservation and Protection of Materials’ will cover a range of informative sessions including antiadhesive surfaces and bioremediation. There will also be an important sessions of short papers, primarily from young scientists. The Local Organising Committee includes members of the IBBS Council with current President John Gillatt and former President Malcolm Greenhalgh as Joint Chairs.
