Academic Venue Awards Success!

Conference and Events were delighted to receive another award last week in recognition of their contribution and commitment to sustainability. The Academic Venue Awards were organised by Conference News, a major publication in the conference and events sector.

This follows on from their double win at the CHS Awards in May, where they were presented with ‘Best Sustainable Venue’ and also received a special accolade from the Chairman of Judges, who said; “Manchester Metropolitan is setting an example to us all…….  If we, as venues and suppliers in the industry considered implementing just one or two of their initiatives, imagine the positive impact we could all make”.

In the comments from the judges at the AVA’s, special mention was also made to the holistic approach of the team, including the work they’ve done with Big Change Mcr in trying to help end homelessness in our city.
