The Sixth Fibre Recycling Symposium Keynote Speakers Announced

The Sixth International Fibre Recycling Symposium is scheduled to take place on 7th and 8th June 2017 at Manchester Metropolitan University, Business School.

The two-day programme will provide a dynamic forum for exchanging ideas, exploring latest research findings and to generate international cooperation and dialogue in fibre recycling area, and more importantly engage industry in taking a lead in exploiting emerging technologies.

Gail Baugh, Management & Apparel/Recycling, USA and Dr Arun Pal Aneja, Global Technology Executive, USA have been announced as the keynote speakers for the symposium.  

Gail Baugh has extensive senior management experience in the global apparel and textile industries, particularly in product sourcing for large retail chain stores and for Teijin Frontier (USA) Inc. She is experienced in retail buying for Macy’s, in production management and international textile sourcing and continues to seek innovation to recycle fabric and reduce polluting practices in the industry.

Dr Arun Pal Aneja has provided strategic business and technical leadership across the world. He has extensive experience in teaching, research and development, process/product engineering, manufacturing and optimisation in textiles, polymers, composites, synthetic membranes and chemical industries with expertise in Six Sigma certification for product development and cost reduction. He is credited with over 30 patents and has an extensive publication record.

The Fibre Recycling Symposium has been running since 2007 under the joint chairmanship of the University of Bolton (UK), Georgia Tech (USA) and Kyoto Institute of Technology (Japan). This year, Manchester Metropolitan University has joined the symposium.
