Conference and Events achieve Meetings Industry Association Accreditation

The Conference and Events team at Manchester Metropolitan were delighted to join a prestigious group of conference and meetings venues to achieve Silver AIM Higher accreditation. 

The Meetings Industry Association is a network of venues that offer exemplary facilities and service, and to achieve AIM accreditation requires venues to implement, measure and evaluate systems that support exceptional customer service standards, which are then scrutinised by an external assessor.

The accreditation specification requires venues to focus on meeting and exceeding targets for business planning, sustainability, creating the customer environment, service delivery, accessibility and continuous improvement. This rigorous checklist ensures that only the highest performing venues offering exemplary service can achieve AIM accreditation. By attaining the Silver level, Manchester Metropolitan continues to establish itself amongst the best meetings and conference venues in the UK.

The AIM assessor was impressed with the overall offer of Manchester Met, and noted: “The University’s strengths lie in the standard of facilities it can provide through its state of the art buildings, facilities and equipment”.

Head of Conference Services, Janet Scull, remarked: “To be recognised with AIM Higher Silver level accreditation is an assurance of our commitment to offering outstanding service. This latest accolade strengthens our credentials as an award-winning conference, meetings and events venue”.

Silver AIM Higher accreditation compliments the Green Tourism Gold accreditation and the Greater Manchester Sustainable Tourism Award already achieved by the Conference and Events team.
